A partnership between Valley Community Services and the Creston community. TAPS provides seniors with an opportunity to come together, participate in community activities, connect, support each other and take pleasure in life.
Programs: - Creston Daybreak - Nutritious meals are served four days a week. Homemade, frozen meals are available. - Daily phone calls are made to seniors for safety and socialization. - Physical Activity Programs - Tai Chi, water exercise, track walking, rehabilitative exercises, and games. - Educational Programs - choir, ukulele, book club, computer training, and gardening. - Errands and shopping programs offer assisted transportation for seniors to manage these chores themselves. - Medical clinics are held regularly and include Nursing Foot Care and Wellness Assessment - Seniors' Outreach Program includes information about resources for seniors, telephone peer support, elder abuse awareness workshops, speakers and presentations by health-care professionals.
