   Mental Health Counsellor

Valley Community Services Society is a dynamic, multi service agency. We provide trauma-informed service to a variety of individuals and families. VCS provides a flexible, person centered employment experience for staff working as part of a collaborative team with onsite individual clinical supervision and support.

 

We have 1 position available providing 30 hours/week of in-office, outreach and virtual support to children, youth, and families. Starting wage is $35/hour, includes extended health benefits and 5% employer contribution to retirement savings after probation period.

 

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline and experience or a lesser degree with a combination of training and minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.  Preferred ability to be registered or licensed with an appropriate provincial body. Must be fully vaccinated.

   NEW! Child & Family Counsellor- DDMHS

Valley Community Services Society is a dynamic, multi service agency. We provide trauma-informed service to a variety of individuals and families and provide a flexible, person centered employment experience for staff. We are seeking applications for a Child and Family Counsellor in the Developmental Disability Mental Health program.

 

This program provides clinical mental health services (including outreach) to children and youth aged 14 to 24 with a developmental disability and psychiatric condition.

 

Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in a relevant health service related discipline.  The successful applicant will be a clinical therapist who is qualified for registration or licensure with an appropriate provincial body.  Must be fully vaccinated according to current Public Health Order and funder requirements. Preference will be given to applicants with clinical experience in child and youth mental health services. Wages $37.00/hr, commensurate with similar positions, 7-8 hours per week.
