POSITION SUMMARY: Provides guidance and support to children, youth, and their families with strengths-based/trauma-informed interventions that follow a psycho-educational model. Provides positive parenting support and/or skills in the areas of communication, coping, independent living, and social/emotional/regulation in order to reduce harm or risk factors that participants may be experiencing. This position is in the Wraparound and Supportive Visitation Programs.
WAGE: $25.50/hr (plus benefits after completion of probation)

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Post- secondary diploma/certificate in relevant field and experience supporting children, youth, and families.

Training in child/adolescent development, trauma-informed interventions, collaborative problem solving preferred

Satisfactory criminal record check
-
Valid BC driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clear Driver’s Abstract

POSITION SUMMARY: The Better at Home program provides older adults with compassionate assistance that helps them maintain independence in a safe, comfortable and dignified home environment. This position focuses on building friendly, reliable and consistent connections with participants, enhancing overall well-being through a blend of light housekeeping, friendly visiting, and informal wellness oversight.

WAGE: $31 per hour/Permanent Part-time (Contracted), 20-30 hrs/month to start
QUALIFICATIONS:

Criminal Record Check

Experience working with vulnerable adults/seniors

Business Liability insurance

Able to manage individual scheduling

Must have reliable transportation and valid BC Driver’s licence

Must be able to supply housekeeping equipment and materials
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Light Housekeeping cleaning duties can include, but not limited to:

Clean and sanitize bathrooms
-
Clean kitchen counters & cabinets
-
Sweep, wash, and vacuum floors/rugs
-
Empty garbage and ready it for disposal
-
Clean and sanitize door handles and high-touch surfaces
-
Change bed linens and assist with laundry as needed

Other cleaning duties as requested that fit within the capabilities of the program and the contractor

Attend contractor information meetings/training 1-2 times per year
